General provisions

Within the framework of the International Musical Academy (hereinafter – Academy) of the Winter International Arts Festival in Sochi will work a Vocal Department. Vocal Department is a number of educational events, containing master-classes, courses, lectures of outstanding professors and art people in musical society, concert performances.

The Academy is held by the Organizers with the aim of searching, supporting and educating gifted singers from all around the world, developing a culture of communication among the younger generation through joint creative work, regardless their social status, origin or intellectual level.

Holding of the Academy, preparations and organization is made by Winter International Arts Festival in Sochi (hereinafter WIAFS),

The Academy is held according to the regulation rules about the IV International Vocal Academy.

The Academy will be held from February 17 to February 24, 2019 in the city of Sochi.

Date of arrival in Sochi is February 17; departure of participants is February 24.

In the past: General Director of Glyndebourne Festival, deputy artistic director of Vienna’s Theater an der Wien, Artistic Director of the Vienna Chamber Opera, co-founder and Artistic Director of the International Singing Competition for Baroque Opera Pietro Antonio Cesti, regular jury member for major international voice competitions, founder and inaugural chairman of the jury of the Glyndebourne Opera Cup, Cavaliere of the Order of the Star of Italy in recognition of his propagation and support of Italian artists and art (2015).

Vocal coach and pianist, accompanist who worked with the best conductors and directors of modern times (A. Pappano, V. Yurovsky, G. Rozhdestvensky, N. Järvi; F. Zambello, G. Vick, S. REGULATIONS IV International Musical Academy of Winter International Arts Festival in Sochi

The Academy is conducted in order to identify and support gifted children and creative youth of promising is an effective form of search and development of talented young musicians.
